An early warning system to screen people in "real time", the Wahl Fever Alert™ detects elevated body temperatures and gives off both a VISUAL and an AUDIBLE (through the PC speaker) ALARM if a pre-defined threshold is exceeded, indicating possible fever in humans. The system potentially limits the infectious transmission of disease during an outbreak. With the intent to protect the population from a possible pandemic, the Fever Alert™ can part of a plan to minimize the spread of flu in both the workplace and public venues. Companies, health departments, and other government agencies would all benefit from the Fever Alert™ system to minimize the spread of influenza, including: flu, avian (bird) flu, and swine (pig) flu, also referred to as H1N1.
