The Power of Customization: Build Your Own Digi-Stem® System

When it comes to precision temperature measurement, one size rarely fits all. Every process, plant, and application has unique requirements—from power supply and mounting constraints to environmental challenges and response-time expectations. That’s why Palmer Wahl designed the DST700 Wahl Digi-Stem® Advanced RTD Digital Thermometer with Data Logger and Optional Transmitter and Switch as part of a fully customizable modular system.

With the Digi-Stem® family, you’re not locked into a standard configuration. Instead, you can design a complete temperature monitoring system that fits your process perfectly—combining a DST700 meter with the ideal probe, power source, output, data logging, and mounting style for your environment.

A Modular System, Built Around You
Every DST700 system begins with the meter, the heart of the setup. The meter and probe are sold separately, giving engineers complete control over system design.

Using our Order Guide, you can specify:

Power Source: Choose between C-size or AA Lithium Thionyl Chloride 3.6V batteries, depending on your preference or site requirements.
Mounting Configuration: Select the right mounting option for your installation environment—rigid or remote probes.
Alarm Options: Add the optional transmitter and switch to utilize the fully selectable advanced visual alarm system, with customizable high and low thresholds.
This flexible design approach ensures your system performs exactly as needed, without compromise.

Plug-and-Play Simplicity with Easy Connect
Maintenance and calibration are often overlooked when choosing temperature instruments—but not with the DST700. Palmer Wahl’s Easy Connect feature allows you to disconnect the meter without removing the installed probe, saving valuable time during calibration or replacement.

Simply unplug the meter, send it for calibration, and plug it back in when it returns—no need to disturb your setup or process. Each meter remains plug-and-play compatible with all DST700 series remote probes, maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Precision Meets Performance
The DST700 is engineered for accuracy, reliability, and ruggedness in demanding environments.

Advanced Data Logging: Record up to 1 million temperature data points with time stamps for complete traceability.
Continuous Self-Checking Technology: Monitors 10 critical electronic and sensor parameters to ensure reliable readings.
High-Visibility Display: A large 0.9-inch LCD can be read from up to 30 feet away.
Color-Coded Visual Alarms: Green backlight for normal operation, red for high alarms, blue for low alarms.
Rugged Construction: Stainless steel housing with NEMA-4X and IP68 ratings for maximum protection in industrial environments.
Together, these features make the DST700 a trusted choice for industries that can’t afford inaccuracies—such as chemical processing, energy, manufacturing, or food production.

Your Probe, Your Way
Pair your meter with a Wahl 4-Wire Class A 4-wire platinum RTD probe to complete the system. Probes are built to order, available in rigid or remote configurations, and manufactured with high-purity 99.8% magnesium oxide insulation for maximum stability and long-term accuracy.

When properly installed and maintained, a high-quality Wahl RTD probe can remain stable within 0.1°C tolerance for up to 10 years—a testament to Wahl’s commitment to precision engineering.

Designed for Today’s Industry Challenges
Whether you need rapid response times, corrosion-resistant materials, or vibration-resistant assemblies, Palmer Wahl engineers are available to help configure the exact combination of components your process requires.

From product design and material selection to drawings and calibration support, our team works directly with you to ensure every detail meets your specifications.
