950 Series Rigid Stem Direct Drive Dial Thermometers with 1/2 inch NPT adjustable union and 3/8 inch diameter stem

Description

The 950 series Palmer filled system dial thermometers have a 1/2 inch NPT fitting with 1/4 inch stem diameter.  This makes them interchangeable with a bimetal type thermowell with a 0.260 inch diameter bore. Engineered to provide a long service life, direct drive dial thermometers are used in many different applications, including power plants, chemical processing, and breweries.

Palmer Dial thermometers feature a direct drive double wound bourdon coil.  The pointer shaft is operated directly from the center coil in this design, eliminating the conventional sector and pinion movement and the multiplying mechanism, both subject to wear and tear and leading to inaccuracy over time. Our direct drive double wound bourdon coil is a unique feature resulting in an extremely responsive temperature indicator that will maintain accuracy for years.  Every Palmer Dial thermometer has an easy to read scale, constructed with high contrast black numerals, graduations, and pointer to minimize reading errors.

Choose between Liquid and Mercury actuated systems.  Liquid actuated systems are filled with non-toxic, non-hazardous, organic liquid that is odorless and non-flammable and has proven to be an excellent replacement for Mercury. Liquid actuated systems are available in temperature ranges up to 500°F or 280°C.  This model is a superior alternative to bimetallic thermometers.
